An invite to join us in a creative act of friendship, solidarity, reciprocity and connection. ALL welcome!
I was chatting with my friend
about the intention for this invitation. I messaged her and said I just got a flash of inspiration and saw a daisy as the creative symbol for this work.To which she responded;
“I love that, I’m obsessed with daisies!”
Then
offered to send a photo and a creative seed transformed instantly and bloomed right there and then.In Norse mythology, the daisy is referred to as a sacred flower for the goddess of love, beauty and fertility. It’s also associated with motherhood and fresh starts.
When we sit as children and weave together daisy chains for our friends, we enjoy the simple act of building links from stems and flowers. Perhaps the first gift many of us give to other females in circle?
Pulling gently and consciously piercing our thumb nails through delicate weeds to allow space for the next and the next after that. Making something beautiful.
I can’t remember who first taught me to make a flower crown from daisies but I happily pass on the art if the opportunity arises.

I’m in a real space of integration this year… this seems to chime for lots of us. What’s gone is gone and what’s new is a new paradigm.
In celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD) this year, we wondered if it might be possible to pause and walk barefoot together on the grass a while.
To stop the world from spinning for a day or two…
To remember days gone by and take a breath to integrate how far we’ve come since we made the first chain. To make a virtual flower crown for each other and wear it with pride.
To contemplate what’s possible for us here and now.
As we live as women in 2024…
In liberation
In sharing our creative voice
In confidence
In alchemy
In reciprocity
In sisterhood
In love
To sit together in virtual circle and share hurts, healing and dreams. To talk more of our soul whispers as we make daisy chains for the girls and women who walk behind us, beyond us and alongside us.
This is International Women’s Day, we invite you to join words across the world in your own post with us.
To pass on the whole hearted formula of holding the door open. We always have a choice to do that.
To know that if there is a party online, you’re all invited, we’re all invited and we can keep inviting more women to speak, to create, to show up in every way they choose.
“I’ve been absolutely terrified every moment of my life and I’ve never let it stop me doing a thing I’ve wanted to do.”
Georgia O’Keefe

Tell us more about your connection to nature and balance in this season of your life.
What does reclaiming the feminine mean to you?
Tell us about the most transformative female relationship in your life so far?
What expectations have you had to ‘let go’ of in order to honour your needs?
In a world where we are constantly pressured to ‘have it all’… how do you stay centered and connected to your SELF and what truly nourishes you?
If you could sit in circle with 5 other women…here today or gone now who would they be and why?
Write your own question and response if you like or expand on a topic of female empowerment your own way?
At the end of your post (scheduled for IWD), pass the chain/ tag another writer to pick up the thread….

“Trust the natural flow of your inner seasons and don't push yourself to bloom all year round. When you gave it your best, and it wasn't quite enough. Rise Sister Rise. The things that once served us are falling away.”
Rebecca Campbell
A note on curation - this idea was formed quickly on Friday last week and the curation process and idea was open via my instagram stories for 24 hours.
The people who responded who wanted to co-author and create the piece and invite are representational of those who opted in within that fast turn around. This is an inclusive space and representational of those who follow my work. EVERYONE is invited to respond with a creative piece.
✨
PS - While I’m here I wanted to shout out to
who is running a BRILLIANT fundraiser for a charity called ‘Practical Action’ - subs to 50 best selling Substacks to be won - more here;
Too many ideas which is a gorgeous problem to have! And to anyone reading, this really is OPEN TO ALL xxx
So glad to be collaborating with you wonderful women on this! What a beautiful response so far. Very excited to see the connections and creativity this sparks ✨
