Sigh, I've been on Substack for a year and growing my Substack organically is difficult...only because I don't know what else to do besides the traditional "promote on social media" - another sigh... 😂 I wouldn't want followers for the satisfaction of numbers...but actual connection! 😭🥹
Hey Jae! Thanks for reaching out. Have you read any of my articles over on Sparkle on Substack? I’ll grab one for you. I’m teaching a workshop on joyous and sustainable growth through community connection next month too. ✨🙏
I just finished reading the link you sent!! Recommendations has been mentioned a lot from other posts I've read - I will start thinking about how I can be intentional with it. I am still practicing authenticity in this community and really take the tools that Substack made (recommendations, restack, etc) to heart. It can be overwhelming at times, you see... but I have hope I can find what works for my creative flow. I will keep a look out for your workshop next month. Much love Claire🌸
Yes Jae for sure - it has to feel right for you and it really is a step at a time... I love the thought of giving the gift of recommendations - it’s really so brilliant to write something heartfelt about someone else’s words and deliver that in a way just they see it... like a cheerleading post card! Substack really like recommendations and it powers so much behind the scenes. Let me know if you need any other support. ✨🌱✨
Just spotted that you have chickens too (sorry - off topic completely!) My husband bought five during lockdown, we're down to three now but they live pretty happily alongside our labrador (not to mention my daughter's hamster!) I love Northumberland too, Seahouses, Beadnell Bay and Barter Books favourite of course. Looking forward to the workshop next Saturday. Hx
Ahh we love our chucks too!! They are great pets aren’t they - we’ve had all sorts of adventures looking after them... I think we are perhaps coming to the end of keeping them now as my husband can’t eat eggs and he used to eat a lot but we’ll see. I love that they are part of my routine!! ✨
Perfect!! Eeek I’m so excited!! I have two things to work through before I decide which to share - very tempted to talk about my process with the first journal since it’s been a couple years!

This sounds great, really need to to carve out some space to reflect & learn. Thank you 😊
I'm super excited to teach my methods - there's so much space and recognition in the pause isn't there Harriet?
