I nearly didn't buy it...
And I'm SO glad I did.
Whilst we were on holiday abroad, I bought into a 6 week mastermind course from a mentor I’ve been following for years.
I’ve bought classes from her, listened to all of her podcast episodes, read endless amounts of her instagram captions. Watched her reels - you get the idea.
She’s great. She’s successful. She celebrates and she’s transparent when things don’t work. I never question her integrity. I like most everything she has to say…
There is ZERO nlp, manipulation - the girl is all heart and a smart business woman with a high financial turn over.
I knew I’d be safe.
But I nearly didn’t buy it.
I nearly let it pass me by.
Why?
Honestly;
Out of fear, out of a lack of being ‘worth’ this much investment of money and time.
I bought it because my husband said;
“Claire have you bought it yet? You deserve a seat in that room, it will change everything for you and you know that deep down… go buy it.”
Everything clicked into place.
I do deserve it, we all deserve investment in our business, in ourselves, support outside of our own brains yet sometimes we talk ourselves out of it.
From the outside looking in my husband was showing me how much he valued me and my work. ❤️
Some things ELEVATE our sense of who we are in the world.
As soon as I bought it I felt that very thing deeply.
A deep sense of pride and I’d not even started the course.
A knowing that this was going to change everything for me (and it did).
Sure, I could figure out some of the stuff on my own in my business but it would take WAY longer without the brilliant support of this coach.
I simply wouldn’t have learnt ALL the things that dramatically changed my business model. I’d probably (if I’m really honest) be burnt quite out this summer.
Consciously scaling your online business is not for the faint hearted. I learnt a lot of lessons very very quickly this last year… once I’d learnt them, I implemented them then I learnt some more along the way. Each and every week since the course lessons of integrity have been presented and my brain has solved them one by one like sudoku puzzles.
Why I am I writing about this today?
Well you guys know I love to share behind the scenes of my ‘self seeded business’.
I don’t want you to think for a minute that I waved a magic wand and it all ‘just happens’ I don’t want you to think running a business that takes care of my home, my husband and my kids is easy.

…I invest in myself and I hone in on what I need, what my business needs and I balance the two things together and make very conscious embodied choices.
I make time. This mastermind was 6 weeks long with training drops every two weeks. I had to get up early to fit in watching the training replays, I had to prioritise it; it was intense but it was only for 6 weeks.
I’m building a business online on top of foundations of a twenty year career. I’m unlearning old paradigms and creating from source not society’s hierarchy. I’ve gotten really good at spotting things driven by ego and turning away so I can do the quiet work, the work that builds a sustainable foundation for a legacy my kids will be proud of.
On a practical note, I’m leaning into money stories and possibility and automations and all the things I find hard.
It’s work but it’s the work I choose to do in the world, it’s full of purpose and creativity and it let’s me be here every single day when the kids get home from school.
