What a brilliant idea! Not sure whether I'm too late to nominate anyone, But I'll go ahead anyway. I'd like to suggest Clare Albans for the list. I love reading all her creative and colourful posts. https://substack.com/@clarealbans
I would like to nominate Kerry from Tarot for Life. She is relatively new to substack and I would like to offer some appreciation and enthusiasm for the way that she writes. Kerry is a mystic mother and unbelievably talented at being able to read cards and draw them into her (or anyone’s) life. I highly recommend you check her out ✨
Is there still time to offer nominations? I've just found this bang in the middle of November and would love to nominate a couple of my own recent favourites.
Assuming it's not too late:
I love everything "Suzy's Exhales" writes. She writes about recovery from chronic illness and from chronic control inside a cult-like religion with grace and vulnerability. Her thoughtful work deserves a far wider readership. All her writing is beautiful, but I particularly loved this piece. https://suzyrowlands.substack.com/p/finally-in-the-drivers-seat-in-more.
One piece that has stayed with me for weeks and still has me wheezing with laughter at the memory is Katy Wheatley's review of Alain de Botton’s ‘A Therapeutic Journey: Lessons From The School of Life’. https://katywheatley.substack.com/p/lessons-from-the-school-of-me. Rib-achingly funny and very, very relatable.
Victoria Harrison writes about seasonal living and I so love her take on integrating the ancient rituals and magic into everything she does. This post on lunar living was amazing - https://victoriaharrison.substack.com/p/lunar-living
I feel like everyone knows Laura Pashby but I am still so in love with her work. This post about being a Mother Writer is something I've deeply resonated with and written about endlessly since reading - https://laurapashby.substack.com/p/mother-writer
I know there are so many other incredible writers but these are just a few that inspire me!
"Rising together instead of alone". Love that. Substack just keeps sparkling for me. I came here to get my writing out to the world and to move away from soulless social media posting. However, more than anything it is community that I have found. I didn't realise how much I needed that. It's such a relief to be here! Your post reinforces the support and celebration of others on their journeys.
I love Young Again. It's a newsletter from a 72 year old and all of the essays so far have comunicated the deep truths of life in such a beautiful way unlike any other writing on Substack. Written by Young Tak before being lightly edited (English is not the author's first language) and posted by her daughter. https://youngagain.substack.com/
I love the way @Lian Cho writes through her artwork, telling stories from her life in such an absorbing way. I feel her personality leaping of the page and her posts serve as an example for me of someone whoe has found their authentic artistic voice: https://liantomato.substack.com/
I absolutely love the idea of this post - thank you Claire and Kat for doing this. I too am very passionate about the idea of collaboration and sharing the writing of people I am inspired by. There are so many wonderful writers on here, but here are three of my favourites at the moment:
I really love Leyla Kazim's writing here, and she is very active on notes too. Her Substack is called 'A Day Well Spent' and is on my list to be the next one that I become a paid subscriber to as I get a few more paid subs myself. https://leylakazim.substack.com/
Oh Claire and Kat I love this so much! Those we want to help rise, and those we are moved by, how wonderful. I think I have a few - is it ok to post more than one?
My first and foremost that I want to show so much love to is Heart Leap by Suzy Walker. Having come onto Substack very tentatively, the warmth and welcome shown by Suzy is second to none. She has created a community that I feel very grateful to be part of (and that is how I met you!!). Her posts burst with creativity, inspiration and honesty. Themes of life change, starting anew, vulnerability, bravery - and then the remarkable interviews from her 'day job'!! AND she shares my passion for antique typewriters!! What's not to love. ❤️
I wish to see her and her work grow and flourish even more 💕

Yes you're so welcome I was going to turn comments off tomorrow. xx
Phew! Just squeaked in under the wire. This is such a great idea, Claire.
Yay!! So glad!! ✨✨✍️✨✨

I love Soren's posts. https://open.substack.com/pub/wisdom2events/p/what-is-inside?r=2ficxs&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web He speaks so succinctly and eloquently about the big important life stuff. He is not a newby here but he puts good words out to the world and I think we need to hear more of that.
Life letters from Nadia Meli can always be relied upon for beautiful truths: https://nadiameli.substack.com/

Reid Cox's page 'Dare You' is a very enjoyable read. We both started our Substack journeys at a similar time and I love reading about how she is adapting her career and becoming a multi-hyphenate. Her voice overs are great too! https://open.substack.com/pub/reidcox/p/embracing-a-multi-hyphenate-career?r=1cn0dj&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
Hannah Kirkbride's 'The Research Objective' is a brilliant insight into the highs and lows of switching to a freelance life. This was a particularly enjoyable read: https://open.substack.com/pub/theresearchobjective/p/take-up-space?r=1cn0dj&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Not only is Natalie a friend from the other side of the earth, but her art and writing is so real and always just what I needed ♥️

I have greatly enjoyed the homesteading tales leading up to this vacation story: https://open.substack.com/pub/simplehomesacredearth/p/a-fed-bear-is-a-dead-bear?r=bz03m&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post
Be back with a nomination soon!
I loved this piece by Ambata Kazi about home and leaving home and all the complex nuances involved: https://open.substack.com/pub/ambatakazi/p/its-where-im-from?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=wnpuf
What a joyous thing to do! I'm loving Janelle Hardacre's posts and this one in particular 'A Lesson in Hope' was a beautiful balm for the soul!
