What a lovely reflection Claire! This will always be the year we embraced change, challenge and a new country. It will also be the year I embraced my 40th with a Festival of 40 - choices I’ll always remember and enjoy! Thanks for the invitation to reflect ❤️
I’m not sure I could write such a splendid poem but I’ve been keen to write about it. Though my years are so big now, so full of health and presence and vibrant energy. It’s become a lot to write about - hence why last years became my first book!
I could literally write another book on this year.
But I think if I had to narrow it down, it would all be about a health I’ve never before known or experienced; physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially. It’s still not quite yet where I believe it can be, plenty of blips healthwise, but it’s still the best I’ve ever known in all my adulthood at least ❤️🩹
Could you sing it? This came to me as a song first… a line of a song then I edited the rest. This work is faster than all my other styles believe it or not…
Ha I’m not sure about that but I’ll remain open to it! When write my poems they do spill out super quick, but they only flow when they flow. I can’t sit and intend to write a poem, it’s not yet worked for me like that
What a beautiful piece of writing and wonderful thing to ponder 🥰 2024 for me has been bold and brave, full of reflection... but mostly a year of acceptance 🧡
Love this for you Eva. Love your orange heart too - reminds me of chakras and orange being the sacral chakra is said to be the centre of physical needs, self-worth, and creativity. It's also associated with our sense of taste, communication, and action. 🧡
2024: My 97 year old mom passed away a week ago, and what's left are a lifetime of loving memories and a heart full of thankfulness, a Peace that passes all understanding, and recalibrating a life of joy and hope.
