Thank you for this Claire ... I love how you always invite space to pause, and really think about where we are and where we would like to go.

I have been so excited for Autumn, but I have felt a dip in energy and my creativity and my anxiety has been getting a bit louder ... I'm trying to just go with it and focus on other areas ... Allowing rest, meditating again, more creative dates with myself, reading non fiction and I have changed my dressing table to a writing desk and had a lot of fun buying a few bits and pieces and making it feel like me ... I hope this will help.

Oh this sounds delightful Emily. I’m with you on managing the trickier feelings. I did one thing for my wellbeing every day last week and yet still the balance wants to tip - I think being in acceptance of the seasonal shift and the feelings that bubble up is a life’s work. Sending love! ✨

For me I’d like October to hold space for:

Walking in misty parks with a hot coffee in my hand

Looking at fall colors outside

And in my kitchen: cooking comforting soups and curries with deep purple eggplants and rust orange pumpkins

Choosing and planting bulbs for spring

Long hours of reading under a blanket

And…doing less, listening more…🍁

Thank you for offering this space of reflection here.

Oh this is beautiful Dacha - I like the thought of thinking of spring bulbs - I've left my red tulips in the ground...

I’ve written a reminder in my calendar last spring -about planting bulbs. This is part of managing my ADHD (with various success :)

The perk, on the other hand, is that I’ll completely forget what I’ve planted and it will be a total surprise come spring !

I’m traveling for half the month, so I’m hoping that once I come back home October will hold space for…

- Rest.

- Writing.

- Quiet. Silence.

- Rainy days.

- Cold weather.

- Hot beverages.

- Community.

- Work & creativity.

- Reading some of the books I acquired on my travels, and working on a few creative journals.

Rest, ah rest, scheduled rest is so important this time of year isn't it.

What I would like from October is a bit of joy, peace, laughs and getting myself more in the world ❤️

Ooo a month of emergence Jo!

What I'd like from October is that it would slow down please. All the other months have been rushing us to the end of the year. As October is spring for us, I'd like to just really savour it.

I love that intention… maybe there’s a way? I know in summer I spent days just not rushing out, just sitting and playing with the kids and not really doing much - it seemed to slow August down. ✨

I'm sure there's a way! It has to be about intention, being in the moment rather than being focused on what's next.

Also very much trying to lean into this Sophie! Sending vibes of slow intentionality 💫

I feel like slow-tober has to be a thing, let's do it!

Well this is the month I've launched my sober coaching business! So I am excited to dive into growing my Substack with you. I've also noticed a LOT come up for me with old beliefs, fear of failure and imposter syndrome. At the moment I feel like there is so much possibility but not sure how to find the time and juggle everything... I love the idea of the inner wild woman protecting the inner child, thank you for sharing that.

Aw you’re welcome dear Ellie! Delighted you are here. There are some cute resources you might like but mainly my substack education is over at Sparkle on Substack. ✨🙏

October is looking busy and a little frantic in places, but there’s lots of space for wonderful moments. This month I’d like to take a more serious look into marketing. My inclination is always to disappear into creativity, which I love, but if I want to be financially successful - which I do! - I need to figure out how to get myself in front of the people who will benefit.

And also - I love October and how beautiful everything looks outside, so I’m planning to raise my head and soak it in consciously ☺️

Ooo Jen I love this intention! I found doing marketing courses with successful creatives was key because they kept it engaging and fun! I have a couple pre recorded classes - maybe you’ve seen those? My choose two social media class is super popular! ✨💕

This is actually a great idea! I need something that keeps me accountable, as I’m really prone to the self-doubt and I think (in the most positive way) I need to get over myself and do the thing 😂 thank you - I’ll have a look!

I love October too Jen! And like you, I'm taking a serious look at my marketing this season.

It’s not as sexy as the creative stuff but maybe if we figure it out, it might become maybe a bit hotter? If we flirt with it?! 😂

“the harder path is often the one we need to walk” Yes! Just the words I needed to hear today. Thank you. x

October feels like a race, I’m already scared of November but there’s a holiday in the middle where I get to do absolutely nothing 😍☀️

The class sounds magic and I’d love to put my name in the hat ❤️

Welcoming October with my new ebook! My first book out there🤩

I’ve been thinking about the hard path and I’d go so far as to say, it’s the path that’s most in alignment with where it is you want to go. ATM that’s the path of ease and release - yet you wouldn’t believe how tricky it is to stay on it.

Here’s my new book deets:

“Unleashing My Inner Power: Daring to Dream & Flying Fearless” is available for women seeking balance in their lives and/or living with invisible illness - waking up to the truth that they matter, their health matters:

I love the birthday gift you gave yourself Claire!

Choosing wholesome over materialism is something we learn as we age and it shows.

I had quite a busy first half of September but I am willing to slow down in October. For me, this month is all about prioritising my wellbeing and choosing peace over chaos. I have been struggling to get creative lately but I am so excited to write now that I am slowly getting back into doing what I love again.✨

Expand full comment

I wrote “stabilise my business” as my intention. Maybe you could write “slow down” as yours? If it feels good? I literally have to book wellbeing slots with myself or I don’t do them. 😂💕✨

Expand full comment

That is soo true.

I had the entire second half of September to slow down but I couldn't because it's so tough to let go of the guilt that accompanies when I am simply sitting in silence. But I am writing "slowing down" as my intention for this month and I this time I am serious about it!!🥲

What’s worked for me is leaning into the stuff that calms my nervous system; like walks, knitting, creative stuff like cooking and baking. ✨
