Thank you for a lovely little insight. I hope you find a replacement space for the tipi. I had to comment on you talking about the grammar police. I feel exactly the same way. As long as it makes sense and can be read easily, that's the extent of the job for grammar and punctuation as far as I'm concerned! I was a primary education literacy specialist and I qualified as a proofreader yet there was no way I could work as one as I just didn't see the point of much of the higher level stuff, especially the punctuation! Yet I now worry when I put writing out, partly because I had cognitive issues from long covid but also because I know I'm probably getting my dashes wrong! But great use of the typo postcards though.
I’ve just cleared out our green house which had become a bit of a dumping ground sooo watch this space🧚♂️
Ahh I’m so pleased to hear this - you’re so right there’s not better grammar is there? There’s better communication but grammar is just grammar words are just words - I’m all in for communication in the best way possible! ✨
Hope you are starting to feel better re LC symptoms - my husband has been through the absolute mill with it but a low histamine diet really helped reset his system and he’s doing a lot better.
✨🧚♂️✨💡📕 thanks for being here Rachel. It means a lot to me. ✨🌱💕
My spoken voice is very different to my written voice and that is something I also struggle to come to.
The tipi was just so incredibly beautiful ❤️ it was just exactly what I needed last year and I am so grateful to you both for holding me. I don’t think the women’s health hub would exist if I hadn’t been able to play it out in that magical tipi space 🥰✨🌱⭕️
It’s been so strange editing the transcript for company of two I’m like - why do I say “kind of” so much 😆
I think using otter really helped me formulate my thoughts and actually IRL presentations make me disregulated so I have to write it word for word and read it! It’s all just practise isn’t it and moving past our blocks - it’s hard but so worth it to share our voices. 💕💕
Ahh yeah I miss is so so much. ⛺️ Me and Luna cleared the greenhouse yesterday - my plan is to make a little journalling spot in there with my seedlings! 🌱 let’s go up to bamburgh and see it in its new home this summer! ⭕️
Lovely Listen Claire! It's nice to connect your voice with your substack. What a great idea to offer a little treat to anyone who found the typo! There was a snippet in a podcast that I listened to (a few months ago now probably) that talked about the difference between reading the transcript of a podcast and listening- even edited for filler words. I can't remember it exactly, but it was something about the nuances in a different type of communication - and that you will never get the same experience when you read a transcript back. Good luck with the launch of Company of Two - I've just subscribed.
Yes I feel like it's such an intimate experience with podcasting but I feel like it's a craft where I'm not saying enough or I'm saying too much - enjoying the practise and the lovely feedback though thanks so much. I've got you on insta now which was always my way to feel connected to creatives but is more like a short party in my week these days! 💁🏽♀️
Aw thanks so much Hannah - yes me too - I think it's so nice when folks are transparent about their creative process - mine is often messy and doesn't quite work and then sometimes all of a sudden really really works! Hope you're having a lovely day.
A lovely listen on the dog walk -- thanks Claire 🌻
Aw you’re so welcome Sharon! Did you connect with those feelings of re inventing something that didn’t quite work? 🌸

You did tell me about the greenhouse! But I’m only just reading it 😆
Oh here it is 😂✨😊
I love the pivot with the postcards (I want one!) and the transcript. Such creative solutions. ❤️
I will post you one! ✨🪄✨ ✉️ 📮
